Hope for the Heart

David is known as a man "after God's own heart" and yet his life was full of sin, struggle and suffering. Still, God never gave up on him and he always (eventually) came back to God. We will journey with David and will learn from his successes and failures. His life leaves a legacy of lessons to apply to our hearts. We will see how the Bible gives real hope and help to us in the midst of the problems of life; and we will constantly visit with the Psalms to experience worship that overflows from David's real-life experiences.

The Art of Encountering Jesus

Jesus is pursuing us to know Him personally. Although all transforming encounters with Jesus involve responding by faith to His word, no single encounter is the same. Although there are clear, formulaic parts of the gospel (our sin, His death and resurrection, our faith), we see in the Gospel of John how encountering Jesus is more of an “art” than a “science” in that it can look so different for all of us. This series invites us to reflect on personal encounters people had with Jesus and to consider how Jesus is pursuing to encounter us today.
