Hearing Jesus

In a world where there is constant noise – the opinions of mainstream media, the echo chambers of social media, the chatter of public discourse, and even just the clutter of all the on-demand media that entertains us – believers need to hear Jesus loud and clear. Jesus says “his sheep follow him because they know his voice” (John 10:4).

The Gospel of Luke invites us to plug into the words of Jesus and turn up the volume. And, of course, Jesus calls us not only to hear his words, but to put them into practice (Luke 6:46). When we do that, our lives will have a steady and sure foundation.
