Description of Event: There is no shortage of visions for manhood today. Men face great pressure either to function in ways contrary to their design or to give in to false and destructive concepts of masculine strength. Often, the versions of manhood set before us, even in religious circles, are more cultural than Christian! However, God is calling out a remnant of men today who are breaking out of the molds of culture in order to pursue true masculinity. We will learn how to become the men Jesus showed us to be, women pray we can be, families long for us to be, and God calls us to be. No matter what stage or status of manhood you are in, it’s time to flip the script of what it means to be a man and pursue God’s vision of Christlike masculinity.

Session topics included:

  • What is the Script? Comparing worldly models of manhood with God’s good design
  • When headship goes to your head: Learning to lead like Jesus, from the bottom up
  • Tools of the trade: Exchanging rusty saws that make a mess for power tools that really bless
  • Ditch the script: Downloading a better version of sex
  • Becoming sons of Boaz: Building a life and legacy of true strength
