Staffing Info: We have at least one staff for every five students, ensuring each camper receives positive attention from our enthusiastic, carefully selected staff. Our counselors are fingerprinted for both FBI and state background checks and comply with all applicable Maryland camp staffing regulations. Most important, each claims a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. All our directors are CPR & First Aid Certified.
Dress Code: Campers are free to wear normal clothes to camp, modest of course, then camp t-shirts are required to be worn every Wednesday for the field trips! One t-shirt will be given to each camper. There may be times the campers will be instructed to wear closed toe shoes for certain running activities or wear their Christmas clothes for certain Friday Funs! So keep an eye out for notifications on that.
Behavior: We have a policy that follows baseball terms. Homeruns, Strikes, and Outs. Homeruns are given throughout the week and will be redeemed in candy on Fridays. Strikes are given out when a camper does something that does not follow our 3 rules, Be Safe, Be Fun, and Be All, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all about Jesus Christ. For example, after a warning, a camper continues to run down the hallway, that camper gets a strike which could result in time off from an activity. If three strikes are given out, the parents will be notified of their kid given an out and a talk will be given by the director(s) to the camper. If a camper gets two outs, there will be a meeting with the parent of the camper to discuss the behavior. If a camper receives three outs, well let’s just pray no camper gets 3 outs.
Wahoo Wheel: One camper from each counselor group will be picked each week during Friday Finale to spin our wahoo wheel to win a prize or maybe even pie a counselor in the face! This camper could either be the best behaved or most improved, whatever the counselor chooses to base it on that week.
