This Week at Forcey – including special opportunity TODAY at 12noon!

March 23, 2020 | Michael Foster

Dear Forcey Family,

This morning I relate with the apostle Paul as he writes in his first letter to the Thessalonians, “”When we were orphaned by being separated from you for a short time (in person, not in thought), out of our intense longing we made every effort to see you” (2:17). Please know you are in the hearts of all our pastors and staff! I pray you were encouraged by the time of worship yesterday and the word that even in the midst of captivity, the Lord “knows the plans He has for us to give us hope and a future”! (Jeremiah 29:11).

If you missed that message or want to watch it again or share it with others, you can find it here:

I want to share with you our tentative schedule for this week:

  • Monday @ 12noon – I will host a Zoom discussion on the topic “Hope for Anxious Hearts.”

  • Tuesday & Thursday from 7:30-8:30pm. Prayer conference on the phone. Call 1-971-224-6578 and enter code 935373 to join one of our leaders in prayer. *Note: try to mute your phone unless you are taking your turn to pray out loud.

  • Wednesday @ 7:00pm – Livestream message and prayer.

I will share a message called “Don’t Panic, Just Pray” (following up on last week’s message “Don’t Panic, Just Pivot”). Please join us as we learn how to utilize the “power tools” God has given us for times like this: prayer and fasting. We will also share a time of prayer together.

  • Sunday @ 10:00am – Livestream worship experience.

I am planning to share a message from Luke 7:1-10 called “Commanding Hope: Looking to Jesus when you’re Losing Control.”

  • Zoom Groups – You can sign up to join a “Zoom” discussion group at this link:

https://forcey.churchcenter.com/people/forms/116129    A list of groups will be emailed to you for you to consider.

We have been blessed by the number of people who have been viewing our livestreams, connecting to groups, and sharing positive feedback. But please let us know if you have had a difficult time connecting with any of our online opportunities. Thank you for your patience as this is new territory for all of us. We have a great team that is working hard to keep us all as connected to the Lord and each other as possible!

Finally, During this time, we ask that you please prayerfully continue to give your tithes and offerings through our online giving service at www.forcey.org/give. You can also mail your checks to Forcey Bible Church / 2130 East Randolph Rd / Silver Spring, MD 20904. Your generous giving is vital to sustaining the ministry of our church and missionaries. We have the Lord’s promise that, as we give, He will supply our own needs through his riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Let’s continue to “fix our eyes on Jesus together” –

With you and for you,

Pastor Michael Foster
