Sermon Bulletin & Discussion Guide (from Pastor Foster)

MESSAGE BULLETIN 4/26/20 –

Title: The Gospel No Matter What

Text: Philippians 1:12-18

Points for Message:

Now I want you to know that what has happened has actually served to…

UNLEASH THE GOSPEL!

  • At all times – and especially in troubled times

What looks like an obstacle is really an opportunity!

God might say no to you in order to say yes to the gospel!

  • To all people and through all believers

Either you need to hear the gospel or you need to share the gospel!

When God makes the gospel a talking point, make a point to talk about the gospel!

  • Through all mediums

Don’t let the mistakes of the messenger blind you to the message

There is one right message. There is no wrong medium for it.

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again

to bring salvation to all who believe. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8)

Questions for Reflection:

  1. What stood out to you most from the message?
  2. Share about a time when you were excited to hear good news of any kind.
  3. What are some specific ways you see the gospel advancing during this season?
  4. Have you ever had the opportunity to share the gospel with someone else? If so, describe a time and share what happened?
  5. What are some reasons why people might be more open to hearing the gospel in this season?
  6. What do you think are some reasons why believers in Christ are hesitant to share their faith? How can we overcome these barriers?
  7. What are some reasons why the Lord wants us to share the good news?
  8. What would “more boldly and without fear” look like for you in this season? If someone were to see you sharing the gospel more boldly, what would they see?
  9. What are some “mediums” you utilize in ministry and for sharing the gospel? Share about how you are doing this. Are there ways you or we as a church can more effectively utilize various mediums?
  10. Who are some specific people we can pray for in your circle who you long to see come to faith in Christ?
  11. If you have not yet come to trust in Jesus for salvation, is there anything keeping you from trusting in Him today?

Spend time in prayer for one another. Perhaps you share prayer requests.
