TeamKID

TeamKID is our mid-week children’s ministry for Pre-K 4’s through 6th graders. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm. Parents and older siblings are encouraged to participate in our meetings too.  Childcare will be provided for younger siblings to allow parents the ability to participate.

TeamKID is a fun ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grown in a relationship with Him.  Every part of TeamKID – Bible stories, Bible verses, life application, missions, and recreation – all connect to teach life lessons to kids.  TeamKID is designed so children learn biblical principles and develop skills that will help them grow closer to God.

The TeamKID motto describes well what we try to accomplish in TeamKID:

  • Learning About God
  • Using the Bible
  • Living for Jesus

The TeamKID motto and Bible verses (Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.  Lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight.”) are a part of each meeting for kids.  These elements help kids focus on the purposes of the club.

Encourage your child’s participation in TeamKID! You will be amazed at the fun your child has while studying the Bible, learning to apply Bible truths, and memorizing Scripture, TeamKID can make an eternal difference in the life of your child.

TeamKID members will be divided into groups based on age-level to help us teach the Bible on a level that they will understand.  We will have 4 different groups:

  • Pre-K 4’s & Kindergarten
  • 1st & 2nd Grade
  • 3rd & 4th Grade
  • 5th & 6th Grade

We will be using the Step Out Curriculum for 2018-2019.  One of its goals is helping kids grow closer to God; it’s a kid-friendly study of the Bible itself.  Kids today are growing up in a culture where the Bible isn’t revered as a holy book, where they’re made fun of for believing truths that go against the grain of popular thought.  This curriculum will help kids understand the makeup and message of the Bible.  TeamKID: Step Out wants kids to recognize their relationship with God is the most important relationship of all!
