Masking at Forcey this Sunday

August 6, 2021 | Mike Maslin

Dear Forcey Family,

On Thursday, the Montgomery County Council approved a masking requirement “Indoors at any location accessible to the public” to take effect this Saturday morning. There are no social distancing or capacity limits in this order. As we live out our civic calling in Romans 13:1-7, we will wear masks indoors at Forcey this Sunday and during this order.

Under this order, an exception to wearing a mask is granted “When a person is giving a speech or performing for broadcast or an audience, if no one…is within six feet.” An exception is also given for people with a “Bona fide disability or medical condition,” where “it would be unsafe” for them to wear a mask.

Since this order contains no social distancing requirements or capacity limits, the only thing that is changing this Sunday at Forcey is masks worn indoors. All other programs and parts of the morning can continue!

Let us honor our Lord Jesus together as we “spur one another on to love and good deeds” this Sunday morning (Hebrews 10:24), worship our worthy Savior “in Spirit and truth” (John 4:24), and “keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3).”

On behalf of the Church Board,

Pastor Mike Maslin
