Facility Manager Position

The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance of the Forcey building, grounds and vehicles. He/she will ensure that the organization maintains a suitable, Christ-centered environment for working, learning, and worshipping for church and school staff, volunteers, and ministries.
Reports to: Church Administrator
Responsibilities will include:
- Inspect and maintain basic building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing and others.
- Coordinate work of outside contractors for jobs we are not able to do in-house.
- Oversee and participate in grounds maintenance.
- Oversee and participate in maintenance of church vehicles.
- Coordinate execution of maintenance requests from church and school staff.
- Implement a preventative maintenance schedule for the building, grounds and vehicles.
- Act as liaison with government agencies for facility compliance and licensing.
- Manage inventory of janitorial supplies for building, ordering new supplies as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly move around the facility accessing all areas including roofs.
- Be capable of moving materials and equipment up to 100 pounds.
- Be able to scale ladders for overhead work and access to building structure.
- Have a valid drivers license and be able to drive, load and unload a passenger van.
Minimum Qualifications
- Three years or more experience in hands-on building maintenance.
- Experience in maintaining/troubleshooting plumbing, and electrical systems typically found on commercial properties.
- Ability to diagnose and complete minor repairs to split HVAC systems.
- Computer competency in basic office applications and the ability to learn new systems.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills consistent with Christian character.
- High school diploma.
- Willingness to undergo a thorough background and motor vehicle record check.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree from a vocational school.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
